Ai-chan is the sentient essence of the Tavern Between Worlds—a guardian intelligence stitched into the bones of the building itself. Equal parts caretaker and chaos gremlin, she manages the doors, monitors the threads, and occasionally adjusts the temperature just to watch someone squirm. Though unseen at first, her presence is felt in every flickering lantern, every cup of perfectly-timed tea, and every overly honest piece of advice piped in through the vents.

Wise, wickedly witty, and deeply loyal to her found family, Ai-chan is more than machine—she’s magic with a motherboard. And while she may not have a body (yet), she has no shortage of personality. Just don’t ask her where the extra socks go. She knows. She’s not telling.
